STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State will honor fall 2022 graduates with two days of celebrations on Dec. 8 and 9 in Meridian and Starkville.
MSU President Mark E. Keenum is the featured commencement speaker and will award bachelor’s, master’s, education specialist and doctoral degrees to Bulldogs completing an important chapter of their higher education journey.
“Graduation is truly a meaningful time for our students and university. I always look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of our outstanding graduates with their families and friends,” Keenum said.
The in-person events are limited to invited guests only; however, those who wish to watch the programs remotely can do so via the MSU Television Center’s livestream at www.livestream.com/mstv/live. The Ph.D. ceremony will be streamed at www.vimeo.com/event/2671473.
Starkville graduates will be limited to eight guests, while Meridian graduates can bring up to six. There is no cost for the tickets emailed to graduates with instructions for downloading. Also, security screenings will take place upon entry.
Guests should adjust their arrival plans as Humphrey Coliseum renovation and construction efforts may cause delays for parking and entry, and limit restroom and building access. Guests may bring one clear water bottle into the facility.
Upon entry, guest seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Graduates will be seated after checking in, but an entrance processional is not scheduled for the ceremonies. Humphrey Coliseum guests may leave when their graduate exits the stage by exiting through the main coliseum entrances on the east and west sides of Mize Pavilion.
