Mississippi State University is excited to announce the inception of a doctoral graduation and hooding ceremony each fall and spring semester. This new event, hosted by the Graduate School in collaboration with the Office of the Registrar, will feature hooding, degree conferral, individual recognition and a reception that will be a very special experience for doctoral graduates and their guests.
As a result of the new doctoral ceremony, doctoral graduates will no longer be recognized at our main campus ceremonies. Master's, specialist, and bachelor's graduates will continue to be included in our main campus ceremonies. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduates will continue to participate in a separate spring ceremony hosted by the College of Veterinary Medicine. These changes do not impact the Meridian Campus ceremony.
