Dean of Libraries Candidate Two announced

Mississippi State University and the Search Committee for the Dean of Libraries invite interested members of the campus community to attend public presentations by each finalist.            

Candidate Two: Dr. Joe Mocnik, Thursday, April 1, at 1 p.m.

Dr. Joe Mocnik currently serves as Dean of Libraries and Adjunct Professor in the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies at North Dakota State University. He previously has served as Director of University Library and Professor at Georgia College & State University; Director of Libraries at Southern Adventist University; Director of Library Services at Mount Aloysius College in Pennsylvania; and Director of the Multimedia Center/Bibliographic Services Librarian at Andrews University in Michigan.

Dr. Mocnik completed doctoral work in history at Bowling Green State University, where he was a Doctoral Fellow. He completed a master’s degree in library and information studies at the University of London, and a bachelor’s degree in humanities at Newbold College, also in the United Kingdom.
