STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s Center for Distance Education is announcing three recipients of its “Distance Makes a Difference” scholarships.
The awards began in 2017 to recognize the unique circumstances many online students face and provide financial assistance.
“It is our pleasure, through the generous support of our donors who support distance scholarships, to make these awards to three of our Mississippi State Online students and to be a part of helping them reach their academic goals,” said CDE Executive Director Susan Seal. “The flexibility and high quality of our online programs allow students to continue to work or fulfill other responsibilities while completing their degree, and the scholarship gives them additional support on their path to academic and career success.”
MSU Online students receiving the $1,000 scholarship include:
—Amber Brinson of Wesson, an elementary education/middle school major.
—Xiomaria Grace of Plymouth, Minnesota, an elementary education/middle school major.
—Melisa Pace-Kilpatrick of Conehatta, a psychology major.
