MSU’s Department of Art welcomes acclaimed illustrator for Oct. 28 talk

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s Department of Art will host award-winning illustrator Victo Ngai for an Oct. 28 public lecture.

During her 6-7 p.m. presentation in Giles Hall’s Harrison Auditorium, Ngai will discuss her work for a variety of clients, including American Express, Apple, Dreamworks, General Electric, Johnnie Walker, Lufthansa Airline, NBC, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Penguin Random House.

Originally from Hong Kong and based in Los Angeles, Ngai is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. She is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in Art and Style, Hamilton King Award winner, and a Society of Illustrators New York Gold Medalist.

She has taught at the School of Visual Art New York and the Kansas City, Missouri-based Illustration Academy, and has given guest lectures and workshops at various universities and conferences.
