Glow run to bring awareness of healthy relationships

STARKVILLE, Miss.—A Tuesday [April 12] glow run hosted by Mississippi State’s Department of Health Promotion and Wellness aims to raise awareness about healthy relationships and sexual assault.

The “Take Back the Night” glow run will be held at the university’s Chadwick Lake Walking Track. Festivities begin at 8 p.m. with check-in starting at 6 p.m. The free event is open to all. Registration is online at www.health.msstate.edu/health. Click on “register now,” and after completing the registration form, print out the ticket and bring to check-in.

Leah Pylate, MSU assistant director of health promotion and wellness and sexual assault, said although the event is called a “run,” walkers also are welcome. She explained it is not a timed run. Free glow gear will be available.
