Continuing Ed offering variety of spring courses

The Center for Continuing Education at Mississippi State will be offering a number of learning opportunities for students, faculty and staff this spring.

Personal enrichment classes will be offered for Beginning Cake Decorating, Wine Appreciation (for those 21 years and older), Personal Safety & Defense, and Basic Digital Photography.

These non-credit classes meet on campus in the afternoon and evening hours, and are designed to let participants explore their intellectual and artistic interests without tests or grades. For more information about these classes and to register, please visit http://ce.msucares.com/pers_enrich_current.php or call 662-325-9191.

Throughout the semester, the center will be offering Medic First CPR/First Aid Training for anyone interested in becoming certified to administer CPR and first aid.

This class will be offered each month in various locations around campus from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Seats are limited to 12 per class, and the cost to participate is $20. Online registration is available at www.campusce.net/cemsstate/category/category.aspx or call 662-325-5002.

In partnership with ed2go, the center offers several online test prep courses for college students for $99, including Praxis I Preparation, GRE Part I (Verbal & Analytical) & II (Quantitative), LSAT Preparation Part I & II, and GMAT Preparation.

These courses are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion areas, supplementary links and more. Courses can be completed entirely online at any time of the day or night. All courses run for six weeks with a 10-day grace period at the end. New course sessions begin monthly.
