Measuring Up
Junior forestry majors Scott McAlpine, left, of Haleyville, Alabama, and Andie Stanovich, right, of Silas, Alabama, take measurements of cut board to compare with estimates from downed logs. The exercise is one of many in the College of Forest Resources' Forestry Summer Field Program, a four-course, nine-week requirement of all forestry majors that provides hands-on field experiences. MSU is one of a few universities in the nation that requires a summer field program for forestry students.
