Eighth-grader Taylor Bell, a scout from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, presents MSU Visiting Assistant Professor of Architecture Richard Chenoweth with a commemorative water bottle for Mississippi being the 28th state in which she’s completed a merit badge. Bell took part in the Scouts BSA Pushmataha Area Council’s 2020 Merit Badge University, held on campus last week, that offered scouts the chance to earn several merit badges, including one in architecture taught by Chenoweth. Bell hopes to surpass the number of states attained by her brother, who is now an Eagle Scout and student at MSU.
