The Starkville Christmas Parade Nov. 27 featured the Famous Maroon Band, MSU cheerleaders and a host of floats from community businesses and organizations. A significant part of the MSU family for more than 110 years, the band includes ensembles that have achieved national and international acclaim through their many performances over the years. Band membership provides students with opportunities to develop their musicianship, social skills and leadership, regardless of their field of study.
