Setting the Stage
Buddy Gentry looks over the lettering at the center of Scott Field in Davis Wade Stadium prior to crews painting the "M-State" logo on the field. For 45 years, the Starkville resident has laid out the designs that are seen by tens of thousands of fans attending home MSU football games and the millions of fans who see the field on national television. His most recent work will be on display when MSU kicks off its season Saturday at 3 p.m. against Charleston Southern. Fans attending Saturday's game should remain aware of new gameday pedestrian safety and postgame traffic egress imrpovements.
