Kenya Johnson, a senior studying biological sciences at Jackson State University, explains her research project to Mississippi State University Provost and Executive Vice President Judy Bonner during MSU's summer Undergraduate Research Symposium. Johnson is collaborating with MSU Department of Biological Sciences faculty member Donna Gordon through the Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence, a partnership between state universities designed to build a biomedical research infrastructure in Mississippi.
