Senior communication/journalism major Katherine A. "Katie" Carr of Starkville was among a group of curious onlookers who took part Monday [Sept. 12] in Astronomy Night on the university's historic Drill Field. Sponsored by the MSU Astronomy Club, the event provided participants with an opportunity to use various telescopes to view Saturn, Mars, the moon and Andromeda, among other celestial bodies.
