Third Annual MLK Oratorical Contest
Mississippi State's celebration of Black History Month concluded Monday [Feb. 29] evening with the university's third annual Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Contest held in McCool Hall's Taylor Auditorium. Five students delivered original orations during the event, which was presented by the African American Studies program and the newly-formed MSU Speech and Debate Council. Pictured is the the contest's first-place winner Addarious K. Willis, a senior political science/pre-law major from Grenada. Second-place honors went to junior Rayquotez T. Butler from Shelby, while third place was awarded to junior psychology major Jacqueline M. Posley from Atlanta, Georgia.
