Landscape Architecture Design/Build Courtyard Progress
Recent Mississippi State landscape architecture master's graduate Xin Lin from China cleans excess concrete off of the metal forms being used to build a curved, concrete seat wall for a new landscape architecture courtyard. To be completed in about two years, the courtyard being designed by students in assistant professor Cory Gallo and Extension associate Brian Templeton's design/build landscape architecture course is adjacent to the Landscape Architecture Building on the south side of the Starkville campus. Students are working with MSU Facilities Management to construct the courtyard, which features a stormwater planter that looks like a garden and provides seating.
