Khalil Kinsey of Los Angeles is visiting MSU this week to make preparations for the opening of "African American Treasures" from The Kinsey Collection. The display featuring African American art and historical artifacts will open Saturday, March 21, and run through June 20 in the John Grisham Room at Mitchell Memorial Library. An opening reception will be held Saturday 6-8 p.m. in the Grisham Room, and Bernard and Shirley Kinsey, Khalil's parents and owners of the collection, will give a presentation Sunday, March 22, at 3 p.m. in Bettersworth Auditorium at Lee Hall.
