Getting in the Lab
Camille Nettles, an incoming transfer student from East Mississippi Community College studying biological sciences, practices creating serial dilutions in a Dorman Hall laboratory. Nettles' summer research experience is being funded by a National Institutes of Health research education grant targeting community college students. She is working under the supervision of Florencia Meyer, associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Entomology and Plant Pathology. More than a dozen EMCC students are gaining research experience at MSU this summer as part of the program.
